About me and what I get up to

My name is Daniel van Druten

I believe that music is one of the most fundamental aspects of human expression and human connection. It can paint pictures with colours you have never seen and it can resonate with emotions you've never felt before. There is an ever-growing list of music which has moved me and I eagerly wait being a part of the next song to do so.

I have worked across multiple disciplines of music including teaching full-time, recording bands, constructing & selling acoustic panels, operating FOH for theatres, and running radio shows. My primary instrument is guitar but if your bass or ukulele player is sick, I can fill in.

My passion is producing music. Everything from conceptualising an idea to the critical listening stages of mastering brings me great joy to be a part of. Working with artists and singers has taught me a tremendous amount about the nature of collaborating, the nuances of vocal delivery, and how important it is to take a step back sometimes and let the creative process flow.
